Choose this if you want to extend your healthspan – the years you spend in good health over our lifetime. On average (according to UK Office for National Statistics) we will spend our final 15-20 years with some form of disability due to illness.  Which sounds wholly unappealing to me – fortunately, it is NOT inevitable!

The vast majority of reasons for that 15-20 years of disability are down to preventable chronic disease (sometimes called non-communicable disease), preventable though our lifestyle. So if you want tip your odds in favour of spending your final years in good health, to live a good life for longer, then start now!

It’s so easy to put your own health on the back burner, whether because of work and family commitments or simply because you’ve never really felt the need to consciously focus on your health.  You feel that now is the time for a change – whether you’ve started to notice things about your health (or your doctor has) you don’t like or have otherwise been reminded that if you want to serve those you care about the best you can, you need to be in good shape.

Ideal weight is far from an exact science; we are all different shapes and sizes. But if you think you’d like to change your weight, whether to lose or gain some, I’m here to help.  If changing our weight was simply a matter of choosing to eat differently, then few of us would feel the need to change it – it isn’t that straightforward, is it?  We’re pushed and pulled from many different directions; the environment we find ourselves in, work schedules, stress, health challenges, and desires, not even mentioning the relentless bash from media and advertising.

When we work together, you’ll find support, encouragement, knowledge, acceptance, creativity and care, and you won’t find judgement!  I just want to help you get where you want to go.

Done healthily, weight change takes time.  I could help you lose lots of weight in a month, for example – but I have ethical boundaries, a focus on health, and I care about what will happen after we stop working together!  We want to create a healthy lifestyle that supports how you want to be.  How long did it take to get where you are now?  Some changes are quick, but on the whole, it can take months to develop the healthy habits that set us up from now onwards – and that’s a good thing.  Let’s do it right.

If you’re an athlete, you might already have a coach, and you’re looking for more input on mindset, mental resilience, or nutrition to ensure you fuel your mind and body for performance, recovery, and enhancement.

We’ll review where you are, look at your needs, and, if appropriate, I’ll engage with other members of your coaching team.  Together, we’ll set things up so that you can perform at your peak when it really matters.

Group Coaching Programme

Combined learning and group coaching

The perfect starting point to pivot your life towards health and wellbeing.  This programme combines learning about wellbeing with group coaching – a mix of the critical elements of living well and long, plus the power of the group to help apply the theory in real life.

Over twelve one-hour sessions, there are nine with an assigned topic in which Mark will share essential information and practical approaches with plenty of opportunity for discussion.  Three sessions are for group coaching and applying the ideas and strategies discussed in prior weeks.
